SPACECRAFT PRODUCT ASSURANCE
MANAGER
Key Purpose
of Job
To perform Product Assurance engineering work on specific European Space
Agency projects, to liaise with the management team concerning basic
quality systems and to have technical
involvement in the engineering principles, materials, processes and
parts used in space.
Key Tasks
To review, then implement customer requirements on
Product Assurance, to monitor project staff activities during design,
manufacture, assembly and testing. You will be required to review and
approve project documents such as reports, specifications, customer data
packages.
You will give assistance in the selection and
procurement of materials, parts and processes and maintenance of project
Materials, Parts and Processes Lists / databases.
Participation in progress meetings, design reviews,
including customer meetings and Product Assurance related meetings
(MRB’s, CCB’s, etc,). You
will also carry out audits of the subcontractors and supervise
subcontractor Product Assurance.
Quality control of manufacturing, assembly and test,
including operating the nonconformance system, requests for waivers,
organisation
of key inspection points, etc. The inspection of all equipments related
to the project and verification of their build records as appropriate
and the maintenance of specifications and standards.
Knowledge &
Skills
You will be required to have good
written, interpersonal and customer presentation skills, and be highly
organised with good project and time management skills. You should have
excellent communication skills and the ability to work using own
initiative as well as being able to motivate individuals and the team to
work within good Quality Assurance principles
